Interesting Dive sites around Mauritius

 Ile-d'Ambre - North-East  Good reefs, and all forms of sealife.
 Grand-Baie- North  Home to Island Dive, one of the nations major dive operators, also good reefs
 Trou-Aux-Biches - North-West  Several artificial reefs can be found in this area. These once used to be large fishing vessels. The "Aquarium" at 20m is a coral patch which contains numerous types of fish. If you are lucky you might get to see some sharks and sea turtles.
 Balaclava - North-West  Another artificial reef site
 Albion  Great if you like lobsters. Not too many fish.

 Flic-En-Flac - West

 Good for snorkeling. Lots of fish, although not too much variety. In this area you will also find two artificial reefs. The "Cathedrale" is a cave at 30metres. The cave roof is at 25metres. The "Rempart Suisse" is a huge rocky formation which drops from 15m down to 40m. It is full of small caverns where lobsters hide. Here you will also find loads of fishlife.
 Le Morne - South-West  Good reefs and fish life including sharks
 Ile-Aux-Benitiers - South-West  Good reefs and fish life including sharks
 Blue Bay - South-East  Not many reefs, but quite a few crabs, lobsters, squid and sharks.

 Grand-Port - East

 Here lies the Sirius ( a 19th century British Frigate) and the Saint Geran ( a 19th century French Indiaman )
