KENYA - Safari & Diving

Geography

Situated in oriental Africa, Kenya extends itself on a little less than 600 000 square kilometers. Mombasa is the most important harbour of the country and offers magnificient beaches all along the north and south coasts.

DIVING

Diving in the lagoons offer an out of the ordinary coralline luxuriance, like a forest of living rocks essentially composed of Elkhorn corals, populated essentially by damselfish and segent fish. You might also assist the taking off of a few stingrays relatively numerous in this area. The Watamu reserve is abutdantly populated of parrot fish and angel fish. It is also the passage way of pelagic species, especially shark whales and manta rays because of the waters's richness in micro-organisms.

SAFARIS

Kenya is, with no doubt, the South African country offering the most variety of choices for safaris. For nature inconditionals, safari-camping is probably the best option but it is also possible to visit the different parcs and reserves of Kenya by staying in the multiple lodges and luxurious hotels.

These different options will statisfy any budget. It is possible to plan a trip to Kenya including diving and a 3 day/2 nights safari in the Est-Tsavo, West-Tsavo, Amboseli or Kilimanjaro parcs. If you choose 6 day / 5 night safari, it will be possible for you to also visit the Amboseli, Nakuru and Masaï-Mara parcs.

Because of the small capacity of the mini-buses, make a separate small package to bring with you on safari. Nights are quite cold in the middle of nature, be sure not to forget a long-sleeved shirt.
