GENERAL

Honduras, also in Central America, is larger than Belize in surface area and population, but has several similar points such as numerous archaeological sites of which Copan is the most renown. Also, its great cultural wealth with its colourful Indian population and the important exotic flora and fauna, comprise other attractions of Roatan.
The possibility of combining culture, ecology and adventure with uncontested quality scuba diving on the prolongation of the coral barrier that begins in northern Belize , makes this a choice destination. Roatan is the largest island, about 50 km. long by 5 km. wide. You can find several quality hotel complexes specialising in scuba diving.
