Situated off the island of Lanai, the site lives up to
its name; you'll find sergeants major, as well as the occasional green
sea turtle and swarms of tropicals swimming through the caves and lava
tunnel.
First Cathedrals: 50 feet - Intermediate
Features arches, tunnels, cracks and crevices. The rear
wall of the main cavern is honeycombed with holes that light up like a
cathedral window when splashed with sunlight. Expect to find squirrelfish,
nudibranchs, lobsters, cowries and moray eels.
Second Cathedrals: novice to intermediate
Features a massive, hollow pinnacle rising to within 15 feet of the surface. Bring a light to view the marine life hiding in cracks and crevices.
